Breakfast, Beach, Blooms - 9 Feb, 2023

It was a chilly morning but we dressed warmly and rode into Half Moon Bay to Moonside Bakery Denis brought back delicious pastries and coffee while I watched the bikes. We sat outside and enjoyed people watching.

On the way out of town, we passed the memorial for the slain farmworkers. There had been a candlelight vigil Friday night so there were lots of flowers. It was very touching.

We rode back to the Coastal Trail and decided to ride the other way. We only got a few miles before the trail turned to gravel and then muddy. A local cyclist who had turned around told us that since last week, a chunk of the trail had slid down the bluff so we turned around. Still, we got to see some lovely views of the beach and fields of mustard blooms.

We were sad to have to leave so soon but, on the up side, I made it to Bridge
