Day 6
I read there was a Saturday Farmers market on the boardwalk on Brookings so we headed out to find it. Unfortunately, the popups we found all occupied by craftspeople. Big disappointment.
Luckily, the trip wasn't wasted since Pacific Ocean Harvesters were just a bit down the road. They sell locally caught fish and others from farther away. We chose a white fish called cabezon. Denis cooked it in the griddle for dinner. We had it with melted butter and lemon. We enjoyed its delicate flavor yet firm texture.
It was really windy so we decided to skip the hike we might have taken and instead head back up the campground.
At 1:00, it was time to move 8 miles down the road to Harris Beach Campground. It's another state campground with water and electric but we even have sewer at this site.
Ardith and I walked down to the beach. It is another beautiful Oregon beach.
After dinner, we walked down to a spot to watch the sunset. So did a lot of other people. 🤞 we all stay healthy.
