Day 27, T-Shirts, Sunshine, and Sunset
The best travel day of the trip was today. The temperatures were in the 60s, the sun was out bathing the Golden State's golden fields and hills (albeit, a bit too early in the year), and the truck traffic was lighter than on other days of travel.
I tried to find an interesting stop along the way. Outside of Vacaville, the map showed a mushroom farm and there were a few reviews talking about the amazing choices of mushrooms available. There was no website but since the latest review was three months ago, we thought we'd give it a go since it wasn't too far off the highway. We drove down a narrow farm road and into a farm that looked like it had a way to turn around. When we went into the building, there were mushrooms but it didn't look like they were set up to sell to walk-in customers. That was confirmed by one of the workers. As we were leaving, a rather angry woman came out and wanted to know what we were doing there and didn't we see the No Trespassing sign. I was happy she wasn't pointing a gun at us as we left.
After that, Denis was more interested in getting home than in finding another stop so we drove through.
We made it home safely and enjoyed a sunset this evening, which was a welcome sight after all the overcast and drizzly nights.
Now, to get the R-Pod window fixed and plan our next adventure.
Thank you, all, for the comments and emails along the way. It is fun sharing our adventures with you.

Glad to hear you're home safe and sound!
