Day 67, River, Railroad, and Roads
From watching an early morning hot air balloon rise from my friends' family room, to the view after view as we drove over the Continental Divide and west, to the sunset behind the mountains at our campground, today has been one visual delight after another.
We stopped at a rest stop to eat our lunch and take a break. We saw people walking along a trail so after lunch, we did too.
It was a nice walk along the Colorado River but when we saw people riding bikes, Denis pulled our bikes out of the SUV and we rode the 8 miles.
Back in the car, we drove past. Denis was happy he'd been able to enjoy it at a slower pace.
Once we settled into Rifle Gap Campground,
we went to find Rifle Gap Falls and Caves.
These photos don't capture how breathtaking the views are. I hope, one-day, you'll be able to see them for yourself.
