Day 25, Another Day, Another 250 Miles
As we left Custer State Park this morning, we commented on what a nice park and what a great campground we had had. We definitely recommend it to anyone who is traveling in this area .
Aside from that, I don't really have much to report about the day. We've driven back into smokey skies across wide open prairies.
We had hoped to visit the Minuteman Missile Visitor Center only to find it is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
We'd hope to catch a glimpse of the Badlands as we skirted the perimeter, but the smokey skies prevented us.
We pulled into our campground liking forward to a walk or bike ride, but the 100° temperatures are keeping us inside the nicely air conditioned RV. Chamberlain, South Dakota, was never supposed to be a destination. It was only meant to be a stop for the evening as we travel through. Still, there is a nicely paved trail which we might have taken advantage of. At least we have a nice view of the Missouri River.

the titles of your posts are entirely entertaining!
